The "black swan theory" refers to unexpected World events of large magnitude and consequence, and their dominant role in history. In 2011 there were several of these World changing events; the Arab Spring, the Japanese tsunmai and the continuing global finiancial crisis to name 3. Events of this magnitude rarely occur close together, but in 2011 the World was reeling from the effects. Strategic Risk magazine ran an article on this subject, and I was commissioned to visualise it.
